An absolutely extraordinary experience from beginning to end. We recently inherited my parents’ 70-year-old home. In those 70 years the windows had never been replaced and aluminum siding was used on the house in the early days when it first became available. After inheriting the home we knew it would need a major rebuild including replacement of all the windows, all of the siding, eves, gutters and one of the doors/frame. We did our due diligence and interviewed several companies. Of all the interviews, the most forthright and professional consultation was with Compass Windows. Steve, the owner, handled the negotiations and explained everything in great detail. He spent over 2 hours going over the house inside and outside. His price was highly competitive with other bigger name companies, but unlike these companies, Compass Windows was upfront about the extent of work that would need to be done and the probability that we might find more deterioration in the structure that could not be determined until the old materials were removed. This was factored in the final estimate. Many of these other companies gave us a general estimate with the vague and worrisome quote that more work would require more money later.
